Dan Fishback

President and CEO

DemandTec

Dan is President & CEO of DemandTec, Inc., the collaborative optimization network for retailers and consumer products companies. Under his leadership and vision, DemandTec has brought together three distinct disciplines – advanced econometrics, large-scale data processing, and Software-as-a-Service, in order to help retailers and consumer products manufacturers define merchandising and marketing strategies based on a scientific understanding of shopper behavior. Dan brings over 20 years of experience growing technology companies in dynamic markets, serving in senior executive positions at Ariba, Trading Dynamics, and Hyperion Solutions. Dan currently serves on the board of directors for SPS Commerce, a leading provider of on-demand supply chain management solutions, and holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.
Mark Culhane

EVP & CFO

Mark brings over 20 years of executive financial and operations management experience with high growth domestic and international technology companies. Prior to joining DemandTec, Mark served as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary at iManage, a leading provider of e–business content and collaboration software. Preceding his position at iManage, Mark served as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary for SciClone Pharmaceuticals, Inc., an international biopharmaceutical company. He also served at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he managed numerous client accounts across a variety of high technology industries. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota.
Bill Phelps

EVP & Chief Customer Officer

Bill has responsibility for managing the day-to-day delivery of DemandTec's solutions across the customer base. He has more than 20 years of leadership and professional services experience having run the services teams at some of the leading companies in the software industry. Most recently, Bill was VP of Professional Services at Ketera Technologies. Bill also led the services team at Kana Software and started the professional services group at CrossWorlds Software. He was a member of the Information Technology Group at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he specialized in supply chain technology consulting, and started his career at Accenture as a member of the Commercial Group. Bill graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
Suzanne Valentine

SVP Science & Analytics

Suzanne has worked in fast-moving consumer goods for 17+ years, pioneering scalable analytics to support retailers and manufacturers, and is co-recipient of 15 patents in the space. In her current role, Suzanne provides science leadership across both the Engineering and Modeling & Analytical Services teams. Prior to DemandTec, Suzanne worked at Procter & Gamble in both trade promotion analytics and design and analysis of clinical trials. Suzanne holds a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Programming from the University of California, San Diego and an M.S. in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan.
Tom Croke

SVP, Global Retail

Tom is responsible for cultivating long-term partnerships between DemandTec and its customers and maximizing the value those customers receive from the relationship with DemandTec. Tom and his team engage with customer senior leadership as well as project teams, and work cross-functionally with other DemandTec executive management, to ensure ongoing alignment between DemandTec's vision, strategy, and priorities, and those of our customers. Prior to his current role, Tom held a variety of senior management roles over the past ten years at DemandTec, primarily focusing on building strategic partnerships and international expansion. Prior to DemandTec, Tom co-founded an online retailer and later joined Ariba where he created and managed alliances. Tom started his career as an attorney focused on commercial matters and dispute resolution. Tom holds a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego and a J.D. from the University of Southern California.


Rob Culin

SVP, Consumer Products

Rob Culin is responsible for leading the design, deployment, and commercial success of DemandTec's collaborative shopper insights programs for retailer and manufacturer trading partners. Rob brings extensive experience from across the consumer goods industry in both management consulting and brand management roles. Most recently Rob served as SVP, Manufacturer Practice Leader at dunnhumbyUSA. Previously, Rob worked with other leading firms including Kraft Foods, Arthur Andersen Consulting, A.T. Kearney, Kurt Salmon Associates, and Swander Pace & Co. Rob obtained his M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. Engineering degree from Brown University.
Kim Desmond

SVP, Customer Success

Kim is responsible for the success of all of DemandTec's customers, ensuring they get maximum value from DemandTec's products and services. In this role, she oversees DemandTec's Implementation, Account Management, Training, and Support teams. Prior to joining DemandTec, Kim managed the implementation efforts at Found, a software company focused on leveraging real-time inventory information across retail channels. She also spent several years as a management consultant at A.T. Kearney and began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Kim holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.
John Crowther

SVP Product Management

John has responsibility for DemandTec's Product Management organization which defines the development direction and product footprint for DemandTec's growing suite of products. John brings more than 17 years experience defining and structuring systematic approaches to analytical solutions through consulting and software services. Prior to joining DemandTec, John worked at Booz Allen & Hamilton, a leading management consulting firm, in their Consumer Products & Life Sciences group. He also worked as a consultant with Charles River Associates, a leading economics consulting firm. John holds an A.B. in Economics from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Will Johnson

VP Corporate Development & Strategy

Will is responsible for both acquisitions and new business development including worldwide alliances, partners, and licensing opportunities. He joined DemandTec in 2008 but has been involved in the pricing optimization arena since 2002, when as an investor he became involved in ProfitLogic, which was later acquired by Oracle. Will spent a decade as a venture investor and was most recently a partner in a venture capital firm where he invested primarily in enterprise software and technology businesses. Earlier in his career he held investment banking roles at JP Morgan and worked in information technology consulting with Andersen Consulting and Ernst & Young. Will holds a B.S. in Marketing and Finance from the University of Cailfornia and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Marc Dietz

VP of Marketing

Marc is responsible for all worldwide marketing programs at DemandTec including market definition, industry strategy and positioning, brand development, marketing communications, and sales enablement. His industry and marketing expertise is based on 17 years of experience in the retail and high-tech industries. Prior to DemandTec, Marc led all marketing and product management efforts for CRS Retail Systems and for Found, both retail software providers, and held various technical and marketing roles at Intel and IBM. Marc holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from the University of Arizona.
Sumit Guha

VP, Engineering

Sumit is responsible for DemandTec's Engineering organization, a globally distributed team delivering a growing suite of enterprise cloud-based products. Sumit has been at the forefront of innovation for almost 20 years specializing in building agile, high performance, product development teams. He has built some of the most recognizable, best-in-class web destinations such as gaming portal EA.com, Marriott.com, BEA.com, and retail eCommerce site WestMarine.com.

Prior to joining DemandTec, Sumit led the product team at Zuora, a cloud subscription billing and payments platform, taking the product from inception through two rounds of funding, and support for over 100 enterprise customers.

Sumit spent 14+ years at leading management consulting firm Accenture, driving much of its web technology vision. Highlights include helping Sun Microsystems develop solutions for Java 1.0, founding Accenture's Internet Center of Excellence, and running a 500-person offshore Delivery Center.

Sumit graduated with an M.A. in Physics from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.S from Imperial College, University of London.
Renaud Houri

VP & General Manager EMEA

Renaud has been responsible in building DemandTec's current base of customers in EMEA and is charged with driving continuing customer growth while insuring existing customer's success. Renaud joined DemandTec in May of 2004 as Director Southern Europe. He has 15 years experience in the software industry and previously held the position of General Manager for France and Middle East at BroadVision, a leading provider of e-commerce application. Renaud also had specific software analytics experience at Business Objects (now owned by SAP). Renaud is graduated from the multinational cycle of ISG Paris, a top French Business School.
